Life as a Teen
Our life is too short. Time is so quick. That is why in just days, weeks, and months I’m already in first year high school. Life in teenager is difficult but fun for me.
Do you know why I can say it is a difficult life, because you have to wake up early in the morning, eat your breakfast, wear up your clothes, and you have to be prepared in going to school. Then you will walk into the dark road during the dawn. You know everyday I sleep 9:00 in the evening and wake up 5:00 in the morning. You must have a good performance in your academic subjects by working on your assignments and projects. You don’t need to be lazy student and you have no time to play with your friends. First, you must stop on playing computer games and on your friends during school days because you have to pass your assignments and projects on time if you don’t want to have deductions on your scores. So you must sacrifice your free time or your play time and to sleep late in the evening only to work on your assignments and projects. In the school campus, the rules are very strict and you must follow those rules and regulations in the campus or else, you will commit a violation. If you commit a violation, you will have a deduction on your grades. You know, I always do these things everyday. For me, a life of a teenager is really a difficult life.
But even though I perform these tasks daily, I can still have some fun time only during weekends and summer days. Sometimes, I just step aside on my assignments, only those easy assignments only to watch T.V. with my favorite movie together with my family. Sometimes, during Saturdays and Sundays, I always ask permission to my parents to play internet games on the internet café. I used to work on my own PowerPoint presentation and make some slide shows to myself and my siblings. I play with my family members and my friends. Sometimes I can have bonding with my family by going to SM or having a picnic in the Family Park or eating in our house with binignit or in somewhere else like in Jollier, Food court, or in the Food land. During school days inside the campus, sometimes I talk with my classmates and greet my school mates. Even though I do not know them, I just greet them Hi! Ate or Hello! Kuya and that’s all. During lunch time, I eat my lunch together with some of my classmates and have some talking sessions. After the classes, we clean the room and again we have some talks with my classmates.
Even though these are only small deeds, it gives my life a big change or a big cause; it also makes me feel proud on what I am now or on what I am for. Even if I have this life, it does not make me feel bad or feel down not like the other teenagers who easily feel bad because they did not finished their studies and instead, they choose to have a bad life. They like joining in fraternities and gangs, taking and selling some illegal drugs and fake medicines. They are not afraid if their parents would be angry in them because their parents are the ones who teach them these different kinds of illegal activities like snatching, kidnapping, car napping, robbery or even murder.
